Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new CCD year!   We are very happy to have your child(ren) enrolled in our Parish Religious Education Program.   This year will be filled with new as well as traditional learning.    Also, we will be scheduling classes for the children on "Safe Environment".   Parents are very welcome to attend these classes.  We will be having them mid-October.  We will let you know the exact dates once we have confirmed them.

It is also very important to have your children arrive for CCD classes on time.  Classes begin promptly at 4:00 pm and end at 5:15 pm.  We have only an hour to teach your children so time becomes most important.

As a parent...the enrollment of your child(ren) in our CCD program evidences your intent and desire to further your child(ren's) knowledge and love for God and His Church.   As a parent, it is essential and required that your child(ren) attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligations.   

It is important to remember that we also teach by example, therefore, we do encourage all parents to participate in the Sunday Liturgy.  Please keep this in mind.   It is a great opportunity for families to celebrate the Holy Eucharist  together as a family.  ( See Journey Home video link below).

Homework Assignments...As you well know our time with your child(ren) is very limited, therefore, it is necessary to have your child do some of the readings and lessons at home to help the child prepare for the coming week.  

It is very important that your child(ren) complete their assignments given by their teachers.   Also, your child(ren) must participate in class when called upon.  This is also part of their religious education.  A child(ren) who persistently doesn't do the required work will not go onto the next grade level.  

Regarding Safety... When entering the exiting the upper parking lot, please drive slowly and exercise extreme caution.   Please park in the upper parking lot away from the

Pre-Kindergarten building and escort your child to and from your car to the lower parking lot which will be cordoned off from traffic.  

***The school doors are going to be locked at all times, therefore, only the children will be allowed into the building.  Children should be picked up at the top of the parking lot or for the little ones at the bottom of the stairs.   This is being done for the safety of the children.

Any child(ren) not picked up by 5:30 pm will be taken inside the new CCD office which is the Convent building located next to the school to wait with a teacher and myself until you arrive.                       

                                     Your punctuality is most appreciated!!!!

From time to time, situations may arise where your child(ren) may need to leave class early.   If so, please be certain to send in a written notice.   We will not release any child(ren) early from class without a written notice.   Please see the Hall Monitor first or myself with your request prior to entering the classroom.

May the Loving God bless you and your family.  Please keep your child(ren) in prayer throughout the year as they will do the same.   A family that prays together shares many wonderful blessings.
